Actress Ketaki Dave returned to work acting in a play 2 days after the death of her husband Rasik Dave. Actress Ketaki Dave performed on stage 2 days after Rasik Dave’s death. “I don’t want people to be a part of my mourning,” said in a conversation with our partner ETimes TV. People should participate in one’s happiness. I am not Ketki Dave when I play a character. The character I play on stage is different from my personal life, Ketaki Dave. I went there yesterday as there was a play in Surat.
Actress Ketaki Dave further said that since childhood I have been prepared in such a way that there should be no hindrance in my professional work. I have worked despite being ill. Because, in any one project, the whole team including me is involved. I don’t want anyone to suffer because of me as the show is booked in advance.
With family but missing husband: Ketaki Dave
‘A few days ago he said that I should always work. I was supposed to do a play and I told them, I am not in a condition to work, but they kept saying that the show must go on and I should not stop working. Even when he was sick, he kept telling me that everything would be fine and that I should not lose hope. Today I managed everything with great courage because they were always with me. I have my family members, my mother, my children, my mother-in-law all by my side and they are my biggest support system, but I miss my husband a lot’.
Ketaki Dave remembers her first meeting with her husband
Recalling her first meeting with Rasik Dave on the sets of a play in 1979, Ketaki said, ‘We fell in love at first sight. After working together in many dramas and TV shows, they fell in love and got married in 1983. Rasik was down-to-earth, steady and believed in living life to the fullest. He never came under any pressure and motivated me to face ups and downs in life. I can say that 40 years of marriage with Rasik have passed happily because he was someone who believed life should be lived well’.
