‘Tappu’ left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma show due to affair with Raj Anadkat, Munmun Dutta? Actor Raj Anadkat reveals real reason behind leaving taarak mehta ka ooltah chashmah
‘I was waiting for the right time’
In an interview to Hindustan Times, Raj Andakat said, “Some things take time. I was waiting for the right time to announce this. I was in talks with the team.”
Why did you leave the show?
There is a discussion in the media that Raj has left this serial as he had a conflict with the production house of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma’. But Raj has something different to say. The 26-year-old actor said, “Nothing was bent. It was my decision. As an artist, I want to go further in my field, work in different genres, learn new things. I played this character for five years. I have played and I am grateful for that. I wanted to do something different creatively. The decision was made with mutual understanding between me and the production house. It feels like I have come from school to college. There is no bitterness between us.”
What did you say on the rumor of affair with Munmun Dutta?
Some time ago there were rumors that Raj Andakat is having an affair with his co-actress Munmun Dutta (Babitaji). At that time, Munmun and Raj strongly condemned the rumour. In a recent interview, Raj refused to comment on the rumours, saying, “Some unknown people keep saying all these things. I was busy with my work. Gossip is part of an artist’s life. I ignore all these things and focus on what I have to do. Paying attention. I don’t care about rumours.”
When was the last day of shooting?
Raj refused to say when he last shot for ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma’. He said that he had no idea that the last day would turn out to be his very last day on set. He said, “It just happened. I didn’t have anything like that in my mind at the time.” It may be mentioned that before Raj Undakat was seen in the role of grand Gandhi Tappu.
