Honey Singh handed over a check of Rs 1 crore as alimony to Shalini Talwar at the family court of Saket District Court in Delhi on Thursday. On Thursday, the matter calmed down after the accusation-counteraction between Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar in the court. A settlement of Rs 1 crore was reached between the two. It is said that the next hearing in this matter will be held on March 20, 2023 in which the next motion will be heard.
Shalini Talwar filed a petition in Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court on August 3 last year. In which a complaint was filed against the husband and his in-laws under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. Shalini has claimed that Honey Singh has often fought with her. After marriage, Honey Singh had physical relations with several women. Shalini demanded a compensation of 10 crores and said that during all these years she has been treated like an animal. On the one hand, Shalini accused her husband of having physical relations with many women, on the other hand, the petition said that once when she was changing clothes in the room, her father-in-law barged in. It is mentioned in the petition that the father-in-law was intoxicated and had moved his hands on Shalini’s chest.
Then Honey Singh released a long statement on his Instagram handle. In which he wrote, ‘I am saddened and distressed by the false accusations and malicious accusations leveled against my family and me by my partner/wife of 20 years, Shalini Talwar. The allegation is seriously reprehensible’. Further in his statement he wrote that ‘I have never made a public statement on the criticism of my song, threats to my health and negative media coverage. However, this time I didn’t feel it was okay to remain silent on the matter as the accusations were leveled at me, my elderly parents and my younger sister, who have been with me through the tough times. All allegations are scandalous and meant to defame me’.
