Review
The story of Christopher Nolan’s films takes many twists and turns, the screenplay is complicated but at the core of the story he manages to show the love and remorse in his own estimation. In this style, he has prepared a masterpiece called ‘Oppenheimer’. A film about a man’s disillusionment will be remembered forever. A man’s greatest invention and bravery becomes his greatest undoing. Oppenheimer may be a genius but he is beyond dualistic understandings. He trusted everyone and paid the price.
Historical events were presented on screen
The film begins as a psychological horror-investigative thriller. Many incidents captured in history have been screened. Nolan has made great use of the IMAX camera to show the detailing on screen. You can feel the actors on the screen very closely. You can feel the changing expressions on their faces, every unspoken emotion and every tear that falls. Ludwig Görans music gives the film a sense of unease. Which is more like a time bomb than a tick-tick. You have more to worry about than Christopher Nolan’s clock ticking. The story of the film grips you so much that you don’t even want to blink. At the end, when he frees his character from guilt, you as a viewer will be filled with wonder.
The film is based on a biography
The three-hour long film Pulitzer Award winner biography ‘American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Based on Robert Oppenheimer’. The story plays between the past and the present, addressing the major events surrounding the nuclear test and its aftermath. A man who was so proud of his invention can no longer look up. The making and testing of the atomic bomb in the film is only a part of the film but at large the film is a study of the mind set of the bomb makers. Oppenheimer’s ambition and his love of physics filled him with a sense of doom and moral qualms. Christopher Nolan very cleverly pits Oppenheimer’s heart against his mind.
Acting
If you are interested in World War II, you will know a little about the weapons of Germany, Japan, America and Russia. This film will help you understand the socio-political situation going on with that wager. The film shows how a good person causes destruction to fight fascism and save lives. No one could have played Oppenheimer better than Cillian Murphy. His eyes show pain and quiet anger tremendously. Robert Downey Jr. and Emily Blunt do justice to their characters. Matt Damon, Rami Malek and Kenneth Branagh have good cameos. This movie will shake you from inside. A person who became ‘death’ and was called the destroyer of the world.
Why watch?
This movie is Christopher Nolan’s masterpiece. This is a film that will leave an impression on your mind for a long time.
