The case of making obscene films: Raj Kundra thanks trollers, says justice will prevail as he marks one year of his release from jail

It has been a year since Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was released from jail. Raj Kundra was arrested in the porn case. Mumbai Police claimed that Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was the mastermind in the case of making and distributing obscene films. Raj Kundra was arrested on 19 July 2021 and released on bail almost two months later. Now a year after being released on bail, Raj Kundra has shared a note on Twitter and responded to the trolls.

‘Justice will be served’

Raj Kundra wrote, “Today marks one year since release from Arthur Road Jail. Justice will prevail. Truth will come out soon. Thanks to well wishers and trollers too because of them I have become stronger. If you don’t know the whole story So keep your mouth shut.”

Raj Kundra made a discharge application

It may be mentioned that a few days ago, Raj Kundra applied for discharge from the case. According to the report, Raj Kundra said in the discharge petition that there is no evidence against him in the charge sheet. Our associate ETimes has learned that the prosecution has opposed Raj Kundra’s discharge plea. Reacting to the prosecution’s plea, Raj Kundra’s lawyer Prashant Patil told The Times, “We are ready to argue the case on merit. We have full faith in justice and the truth will come out.” Patil reiterated that even though there is a prima facie case, there is no evidence against Raj Kundra and he will make arguments based on specific facts in the case.

What did Raj say about the case?

Earlier, Raj Kundra said that people had fallen behind him in this case. He said, “Several false reports and irresponsible statements about me are doing the rounds and my silence is being taken as my weakness. I would like to say that never in my life have I been involved in the production or distribution of pornography. People wash their hands behind me in this whole incident. I can’t say anything more as the matter is in court but I am ready for the trial and I have full faith in justice. Truth will prevail.”
