Famous comedian Raju Srivastava passed away on Wednesday 21 September 2022 morning at AIIMS New Delhi. Raju was one of the most popular comedians in India. Raju made such a mark with his comedy that he became a household name. Raju was admitted to AIIMS after a heart stroke and eventually lost his battle for life. Postmortem of Raju’s body was conducted without any cuts and the body was handed over to the family.

Virtopsy of Raju Srivastava
Raju Srivastava was admitted in AIIMS for the last 42 days. After his death, his Virtopsy i.e. Virtual Autopsy was done at AIIMS. In this no incision is made on the body of the deceased. In which the body is handed over to the family after examining it with several machines. The same has been done with Raju’s body.

How is a vertopsy performed?
In a virtual autopsy, the body of a dead person is examined through machines like CT scan and MRI. In most cases the cause of death can be ascertained by examining such machines. This technique is often used because people object to the postmortem of their loved ones.

Bollywood mourns Raju’s demise
It may be mentioned that on August 10, Raju Srivastava went to the gym to work out. It was there that he suffered a cardiac arrest, after which he fainted. In this condition he was admitted to AIIMS. Raju’s brain was deprived of oxygen and later many of his organs stopped working. Raju was kept on ventilator for a long time. All the actors from Bollywood and TV world have expressed grief over Raju’s demise.
